Just a Phase, Right?

So, I have a confession. I am SICK TO FREAKING DEATH of being old and responsible. I'm sick of being practical and dependable. I have been all of these things since the dawn of time. Something snapped about a week or so ago. I want to go out. I want to be carefree and fun. I NEED a party. Lots of parties. Crazy, rumpus ones.

MORE of THIS:
LESS of THIS:

I'm assuming, because I think I'm a pretty darn good mom, that I will get over this. Its just a phase. It will pass. But, in the meantime...My champagne glass needs a refill, please.

Ditto for me! These days, not being responsible means the dishes stay in the sick overnight or the laundry gets postponed for another day. Meh.

I want to dress up, go out and have fun -- like picture #1! :)

Well...I meant "sink" not "sick". Although I was kinda achy this weekend for no apparent reason that I can find.

It's a very understandable phase, I think. I hate having to be the grown-up, too.

WHY does it HAVE to be a phase? Why cant we find a middle ground??!!!

...dude, pass me the champagne;)

I hear you!

I love when Kaeli has weekend trips to her grandparents house, and I can pretend I'm young and carefree.

I protested responsibility last week, and didn't do the dishes or take out the trash! I'm a rebel.

Hey, we all need to let our hair down and just have FUN every now and then! Absolutely nothing wrong with having that desire :) Also, I love the juxtaposition of those two pictures--you look perfectly at home in both "phases"!!

The juxtaposition between the two photos (just the body language alone) is HYSTERICAL!

That is what is wrong with this country. WHY does it have to be one or the other? What is up with the instant Mommy Guilt if you do anything remotely FUN? We all need some of both!! You go, girl! Find some fun!

My favorite part of the this post is that even when you're being wild and crazy, you STILL have on pearls!

Oh Paige. I didn't even notice the pearls but that's hilarious!

MB- indulge in the champagne a bit too much and this phase will go away quickly. I sound like a Debbie Downer don't I? Pass me the champagne please.

I want to go out too. The sad thing is that I could go out but Jas can't. He's gots to study. And he's gots to study a LOT. Plus, I haven't found sitters yet. Blah.
